Choi Seungjae
(Joel), Park Juwon (Tony), Lee Wonjae (Jackson), Lee Claude Hoan of
Grade 11 and Kim Taeyung (Jayden) of Grade 10, members of
Buhayconomics, represented MITIS in the Economics Leaders Congress at
the De La Salle University – Manila last November 22.
The group
submitted their report entitled “Why Underemployment and Brain
Drain Exists in the Philippines." It discussed the reasons and
effects of job mismatch and brain drain in the Philippines.
During the
congress, Economics majors discussed issues such as the quality of
education and availability of jobs in the Philippines. They also
shared tips to aspiring economists and businessmen.
The
representatives were chosen based on their performance in their
Economics class. Through this competition, MITIS hoped to inspire
students to be excellent leaders who will serve the country.
